About the event
Calling all young entrepreneurs aged 6-17! Are you ready to turn your creative ideas into a real business? Join us on Small Business Saturday, November 30th, for an exciting Children’s Craft Fair at the Santa Cruz Children’s Museum of Discovery. This is your chance to showcase and sell your handmade crafts, art, or other creations to the community. Limited booths are available reserve yours today!
Event Details:
Date: Saturday, November 30th
- Time: 10 AM - 1 PM (Set-up from 8 AM - 10 AM, Clean-up from 1 PM - 2 PM)
- Location: Santa Cruz Children’s Museum of Discovery
- Booth Fee: $20 Includes one 6' table and one pre-set chair, young entrepreneur workshop + office hours
- Registration Deadline: October 12th
- Eligibility: Kids aged 6-17. Children 14 and under must have adult supervision.
Young Entrepreneur Workshop October 12th 11:00-12:30 PM : Boost your business skills with an optional entrepreneur’s workshop led by Keith Holtaway, founder of Pizza My Heart and a representative from the Small Business Development Center. The Lean Planning Canvas workshop for kids is a fun, interactive session designed to introduce children to the basics of entrepreneurship and problem-solving. Using the Lean Canvas model—a simplified business plan on a single page—kids learn to identify problems, brainstorm solutions, and think creatively about starting their own projects!
+ Office Hours November 2nd 10:00 AM -12:00 PM with Keith Holtaway: Receive 1:1 feedback and mentorship on your business idea!

What Can Children Sell?
Items must be appropriate and safe for sale in a children's museum
Food items must comply with CA cottage food laws
Items must be designed, created, decorated, and or curated by children. (adult support & mentorship welcomed and encouraged as age appropriate)
